Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026Effective: June 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Avalon uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy. We keep cookies to the minimum needed to run the Service securely and to understand how it is used.

1.What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits. Together we call these "cookies". They can be session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (kept until they expire or you delete them), and either first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by our providers).

2.Cookies we use

CategoryPurposeExamples
Strictly necessaryAuthentication, session management, security, load balancing. The Service cannot function without these.better-auth.session_token, CSRF and security cookies
PreferencesRemember settings such as language or display choices.UI preference cookies
Analytics & performanceUnderstand usage and measure performance so we can improve the Service.Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-context behavioral tracking.

3.Analytics & performance providers

We use privacy-conscious analytics from Vercel (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. These tools are designed to avoid using third-party advertising cookies and to limit the collection of personal data. For the providers we rely on, see our Subprocessors page.

4.Your choices

  • Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and core features.
  • Consent. Where required by law, we request consent for non-essential cookies before setting them, and you can change your choice at any time.

5.Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as GPC, as a valid request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, this has limited effect on our Service.

6.Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
